To Watch: Code Geass R2

Code Geass R2 (Code Geass Rebellion2) is a sequel to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (check out my post about Code Geass, it’s the previous post).

Code Geass and Code Geass R2 are of course similar in theme and concepts. It’s also about how much a person will sacrifice for someone else’s happiness and how far you’d go believing in your own methods on achieving a specific goal. Code Geass however ended in a cliffhanger that leaves the viewers for an explanation of whatever happened after. (Code Geass R2 however didn’t end in any cliffhanger meaning there’ll be no R3 :< )

Anyway, Code Geass R2 is about an ordinary Britannian student named Lelouch Lamperouge. While playing chess in a nightclub along with his younger brother, Rolo, a terrorist attack happened orchestrated by the Black Knights. Amidst the fray, Lelouch regained his memory and realized that the life he is living was rewritten by the Emperor Charles. His memories revealed that he was the Black Knights’ leader, Zero. He did this in hope to give his younger sister, Nunnaly, a perfect future to live in. Upon realizing it, he realized that he has no younger brother. He then figured out that a group of people are secretly observing his every move waiting for signs that his memory came back. But Lelouch found ways to trick this organization and continued to lead the Black Knights. Eventually, this organization became part of his pawns to achieving his goal.

If you haven’t watched Code Geass yet, I highly recommend that you watch it first 😀 If you’ve already watched Code Geass, I doubt that you’d need recommending to watch Code Geass R2. For sure you’ll want to watch without anyone convincing you to do so.
